Tomorrow is NorSled Adoption Day at Clayton Pet Food Express. Come on out and meet all of the beautiful Nordic breeds – there are many new dogs up for adoption including the famous CeCe who appeared on MythBusters on Wednesday night. We will be at the Clayton Pet Food Express, 5404 Ygnacio Valley Rd. (at Clayton Rd.), Concord, CA 94521, from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
Stop by, you may be lucky enough to meet your Prince Charming at Saturday’s Norsled Adoption Event – I was.

I will bring my camera to the event. If you would like a photo of you and your pup, stop on by — Make a $5.00 donation to Norsled and photos will be posted here within a week of the event. For a $15.00 donation I will print photos at the event. Crowns and bunny ears are optional.
I want to say a big thank you to Lisa at the MythBusters Fan Site for featuring CeCe on the front page of her site. Lisa, you’re my hero!

Lexie and Wyatt got new no-slip Nordkyn collars today. They’re both looking very stylish now not to mention safe (Lexie has been known to slip her buckle collars).

I can’t believe that Lexie is almost a year old. I thought I would post a few recent photos of her and her Siberian Husky pal, Wyatt.

We’re going to the Norsled (Northern California Sled Dog Rescue) adoption fair tomorrow at Benicia Pet Food Express. Norsled is a wonderful all volunteer rescue organization that specializes in Siberian Huskies, Malamutes, Alaskan Huskies, Samoyeds, American Eskimos, and Nordic mixed breeds. I’m going to help them by photographing the dogs that are up for adoption and updating their Web site. I hope to post some photos of the available dogs tomorrow.

Our local dog park, Paw Patch @ Newhall Park in Concord, is closed until March. This weekend we explored two different dog parks in Solano County, Wardlaw Dog Park in Vallejo and Phenix Dog Park @ Benicia Community Park in Benicia. Both were nice parks, but Wadlaw is much bigger and has separate areas for large and small dogs which is really nice. They’re both within about 20 minutes of our home so we should be able to easily visit them on the weekends and during the week.
Wyatt seems to be blossoming. He was a bit shy and standoffish around Lexie when we first brought him home, but now he’s sticking to her like glue. Tonight he actually instigated play with Lex which really surprised and pleased me. Of course Lexie loved it too!

Wyatt even managed to meet a couple of more new Husky friends. This was a father and son team.
