Today Lexie is one year old! I can’t believe she’s already a year old.
Here she was when we first brought her home in May.

Of course she looks a little different now.

She still loves to butt tuck in the water.

She doesn’t go anywhere without a ball.

And when she drops the ball she makes really funny faces.

And she loves her new, big brother Wyatt.

Happy birthday Lexie Lu!!! You have brought such joy to our lives.

Our local dog park, Paw Patch @ Newhall Park in Concord, is closed until March. This weekend we explored two different dog parks in Solano County, Wardlaw Dog Park in Vallejo and Phenix Dog Park @ Benicia Community Park in Benicia. Both were nice parks, but Wadlaw is much bigger and has separate areas for large and small dogs which is really nice. They’re both within about 20 minutes of our home so we should be able to easily visit them on the weekends and during the week.
Wyatt seems to be blossoming. He was a bit shy and standoffish around Lexie when we first brought him home, but now he’s sticking to her like glue. Tonight he actually instigated play with Lex which really surprised and pleased me. Of course Lexie loved it too!

Wyatt even managed to meet a couple of more new Husky friends. This was a father and son team.

Wyatt went in to be neutered on Wednesday and is doing great! Today we took Lexie and Wyatt to Wardlaw Dog Park in Vallejo, California.
Both pups had a great day; they ran like crazy and played with other dogs. Wyatt seems so happy!!

Wyatt modeling a Giant’s bandana I made.

Of course Lexie was having an awesome time too.

What was really neat about the whole experience was how much Lexie and Wyatt played together at the park. They’re still getting used to each other, but today when we were out and about they stuck together like glue.

Of course our afternoon of fun wore out both pups.
